Directions to PenLUG meetings at IHOP by public transit

We used to go to the IHOP restaurant after our meetings, and even held two meetings in the back room there (Nov-Dec 2005). But now we are meeting at OpenCountry and enjoying the food they provide.

Getting to the Meeting

• On Caltrain, you have several choices:
  • Northbound Baby Bullet: Take train 379 to Hillsdale, arriving 6:17 PM, then SamTrans bus #391 to Davey Glen.
  • Northbound Regular Train: Take train 277 to Redwood City, then transfer to train 281, arriving Belmont 6:38 PM, and walk 1/2 mile.
  • Southbound Baby Bullet: Take train 382 to Hillsdale, arriving 6:38 PM, then SamTrans bus #391 to Davey Glen.
  • Southbound Regular Train: Take train 276 to Belmont, arriving 6:14 PM, and walk 1/2 mile to the restaurant.

• On SamTrans (San Mateo bus system), the following routes serve the Belmont Caltrain station which is about 1/2 mile from the restaurant: 260, 262, 390, 391, 397, PX, and KX. Get off at the Davey Glen stop if your bus stops there. Visit http://www.samtrans.org/schedules.html for the latest route information.

• On BART, go to the Millbrae station and continue using Caltrain as above.

Getting Home Afterward

Note that many buses stop after commute hours end, which may make it difficult to get home. After the meeting, the following Caltrain trains depart from Belmont:

• Northbound at 8:56, 9:56, and 11:16.
• Southbound at 9:05, 10:40, and 12:41.
