Nuts & Bolts presentation by Tim Flagg: "Why Linux?"
For people new to Linux, Tim will go over the history and philosophy of Linux, what it can do, how to install, and software that runs on Linux.
Keynote presentation by Wim Coekaerts, Oracle's Linux Guru: "A view of the state of Linux in the Enterprise."
Oracle's efforts with Linux, led by Wim Coekaerts, have contributed to the advancement of the Linux state of the art. Wim will describe Oracle's efforts in this area and talk about where Linux stands in the business world.
App of the Month Club discussion led by Akkana Peck: "The GIMP"
The
GNU Image Manipulation Program is an excellent tool for creating and manipulating image. Akkana will demonstrate some techniques and invite members of the group to offer their insights.
