Open Country sponsored PenLUG meetings from January 2006 through March 2007. We held meetings at their offices for a few months, and then when we got too big for that, they paid for us to rent the Twin Pines facility. They also provided food and beverages for the meetings! Thanks guys!!!

However as of March 2007 they have changed their policy regarding LUG sponsorship. On March 20 we received this email from Paul Cubbage:

Hi all,

Sorry to say, Open Country will no longer be sponsoring LUG activities or providing refreshments at meetings. OC will pay the room rental for PenLUG for this month so that you don't have to scramble to find a place to meet.

OC is moving to a business model of licensing source code to OS vendors, OEMs systems integrators, and service organizations and no longer addressing the general market.

OC has enjoyed its relationship with PenLUG and wishes you the best.

I'd like to thanks all of the volunteers who helped me.
